    VS1 prop height

I am installing a K&B 3.5 on a VS1. With the sponsons at the rear sitting on a table where should the center of the shaft be? I have a Hot Shot IV that likes the center to be about 1/8" above the bottom of the sponsons but have no idea for this boat. I will be able to adjust up or down about 1/4" but am looking for a good starting place so I won't have to re-drill the transom to move it. Thanks, Bret

I know this is an electric thread but I thought some of you who run electric in the VS1 could give me a heads up.

Here is the VS1 manual if you havent taken a peak at it though I believe the boat was designed around a OS Lower. If you're not already member sign up on www.intlwaters.com and I know you'll find someone who runs the VS1 with a K&B.

Thanks for the information. I have the manual and the motor mounting template is for OS. I believe the K&B is longer from the mount to the prop? I found a post by Jerry Dunlap on RC Universe (searching Google) that said C/L of prop 3/16" above the bottom of the sponsons. I guess this would be a good starting place? I would think the prop to hull depth distance would be the same whether it is OS, K&B, or electric.
