Only trying to help... I would be curious to know if HK has an agreement with Joe at Zippkits to sell the kit he manufactures...

        http://zippkits.com/~zippkits/index....roducts_id=581 – motor mount 6061 aluminum

http://zippkits.com/~zippkits/index....roducts_id=265 – rudder assembly – imported cheap aluminum

        http://zippkits.com/~zippkits/index....roducts_id=580 – turn fin 6061 aluminum

        Your welcome

Zipp have indeed authorised HK as a dealer, I cant imagine they are shipping the wood backwards and forwards though so the wood quality is the only thing that would worry me, not really for strength as Zipps is overbuilt, but heavier wouldn't be helpful.

6061 is cheap plentiful and easy working enough that I doubt that HK would use any lesser material, and there is not much load on it, finished boats are going to weigh under 2lb and motors no more than 4 oz and 29x50mm.

              Thanks Paul,

I also received an email confirmation from zippkits as well.
