So I cracked her up pretty good helping a buddy learn to pilot a FE boat. I would like to get her back to the point of being able to run, not set any records. Just trying to keep the learning going. In a best case scenario I could learn about repairing the boat and in turn could continue to help spread the hobby.
So the boat smacked a buoy at about 25mph mid turn. The force of the hit appears to have pinched the starboard side sponson. The damage is mostly isolated on that sponson, although the transom has a crack now.
If anybody has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Even if it's just pointing me in a direction of a post you remember; i.e. somebody going through a similar experience. From what I have read I was considering using two part epoxy to fill in as much as I could and then sanding back to shape.
Thank you I advance for your time,
