    Zonda help

Just got my used Zonda, installed a fly sky RX tx,had no instructions ,was told the shark bite ESC would auto bind to my radio ,which it did ,but the motors ran backwards, tried reversing on the radio but didn't work,so I swapped 2wires on each motor to get proper rotation ,which ,help me out here,is top of props rotate towards the center of the boat ,also on the bench when I barly pull the trigger one motor will start ,slowly but not both ,gotta pull just a little more then both run ,only ran one set of batteries and put it away till I could ask your help, also the antenna wire is so short ,standard length, that it won't reach out the proper hole ,do I relocate the hole or buy a transmitter with a longer wire ?help please ,want to run it this afternoon but wanted to check with you guys first ,thanks

Seems you are on the right track.
I don't know these ESCs, but one should always calibrate them INDIVIDUALLY with the radio. Now it is not that unusual for the motor to start spinning at different times, once the throttle is beyond certain point they will spin . But the throttle calibration is an important process, usually it goes like this, you turn on your tx and pull full throttle trigger, then plug in your ESC, wait for confirming beep(s) and release trigger. Since you have twin ESCs, one of the servo wire's red pin might have been disabled so that only one ESC is feeding the voltage that is needed to power the rx and servo, you need to restore that pin in order to calibrate that one with the radio.
Zonda hull is Carbon Fiber, so the last inch ( exposed shielded wire section) or so of the rx antenna must exit the hull to retain the ability to receive signal from the tx, you need to re-position your rx closer to the antenna mount, don't drill another hole to redo the mount.

The hole is 3" back from the hatch and I can't put the radio back there,I'll check on that pin,the seller didn't mention that and I asked about holding the throttle open till it beeps like a regular ESC but he said these were auto ,is there such a thing as an antenna extention wire? Thanks for the input

Not that I am aware of. Why can you move there? I have this rx, I know the wire is short, but can you raise it up in the hull ( double tape it on a block of wood) and get it close? All you need is that last section to be outside, it is not the whole length of the cable from the receiver.

I do sometimes, I have managed to run all my boats dry inside and i am not a SAW type of boater, so all my boats rarely flip and I seal my hatch well, so no issues there, remember on the 2.4 ghz system, it is the last bit of the antenna that is important, you do have to maintain line of sight contact with your boat, the frequency is different than FM, so as long as you see the boat ( not that there is a reason to run them behind some obstruction) , you will be fine. CF hulls need the antenna outside, people run their FG hulls with the antenna inside sometimes w/o issues. I prefer to have them outside in any case.
            Happy Boating!

SAW is an acronym for what? I asume it flat out speed ,but kinda like a standing mile for super cars ?is there a limit on distance or just run thru some lights ?

                Correct: STRAIGHT AWAY.
There is a fabulous yearly event held here in So Cal in Nov. ( Legg lake in El Monte). Records are made and broken every year!
You need to run two ways and the trap light speed count is averaged .
Some of the best names you see here on the Forum come each year and also from Germany, you live in Calif, if you can make it, try to do so. Info. is given out here in Race Event sections, pay attention and you won't miss it.
Some people do it on a regular basis, they set their boat up and do one or two passes with a GPS strapped on the boat.
Needless to say, it requires knowledge and experience for this kind of set ups. Not that offshore style doesn't need know how, but it is different.
I prefer to see my boat turn in the middle of the lake full steam, so I never got into it. ( read: excuse for not being able to achieve SAW goals)

I have one of those little GPS units on my wish list ,that Zonda wasn't that much faster than I have my cat going ,I'm maxed out on ideas to go faster on my HK genesis, got the motor,prop-n447, strut way up,the only thing left is to remove the offset rudder and move my battery trays back a bit ,it's not even close to blowing over like it did when I 1st got it ,I moved the batteries all the way to the front of the hatch ,I think that's keeping the hull in the water ,
