I will let others answer as that is out of my league. So are you running at Port Angeles? I am going to that one and hopefully if the weather cooperates get some pictures taken.

How much are you willing to spend? The faster you want to go the more expensive it will get.

I used to run 1/10th Scale with Classic Thunder and then with ERCU when it was formed. Right now I am just building and playing with 1/16th scale hydros and may bulild a micro Hawaii Kai 16 inches long.

I may get into 1/10th scale again or I might run with Puget sound fast electrics in a couple of classes next year. I haven't decided yet.

Before I give my suggestion, let me preface this by saying that this is a top-end setup that I know is "expensive", but that I have personal experience with and that I know will meet your desires...

Either of the following will work very well...

                  Neu 1521 1.5D (1860KV) or Neu 1527 1D (2160KV) on 4S2P Lipos using a Castle Hydra 240 ESC.

Either of these will get you the speed you are looking for if the hull can handle it...

You may even be able to get there using a 1515 1Y on 4S2P, but it'll be closer to the edge of that motors ability...

I'm sure there are other, less "premium" setups out there that can work, but these are the ones that I have experience with that I KNOW will work...

You can get either of these setups right here at OSE...

Hey Darin, why not go 6S ? How about 1527 1.5D (1500Kv) with Hydra 240 on 6s1p 5000mAh 30C LiPo. At 150A that should be about 3000W. Enough power to make that boat flip over. Would the battery get too hot? How about 6s2p 9000mah pack?
