    Fightercat Fantasm

Anyone run the 41 Fantasm Cat? Setup?

I'm thinking about ordering one and need some feedback.

    Thanks!

Only place I had seen was the Fightercat website. Is there another option?

They don't have any. Don't know where else to get them from.

I'm currently trying to set up an account with tfl to buy them.

RC boat Bitz should have them. Same as the Zonda. I am running a Fantasm currently with twin TPpower 4082's.

Do you like the Zonda? I've seen a couple sites that have the ARTR for a decent price...

It is very good handling and rock solid at speed. What kind of conditions are you running on?

I have large retention ponds in my neighborhood and at work. I'm south of Houston so 10-15mph winds are pretty common. Slick days here and there but most days are small chop.

It does not mind those conditions at 60-70. Above that speed and you'll need some reinforcement anyway.

The Fantasm is great hull, but has it's limits. Like Shawn said it needs to be reinforced. OSE has the Zonda now.

For what it's worth I've found for the price to have one shipped from TFL (unless you're buying a container full) you would be better off buying a high quality hull like the KBB 45''. It's carbon fiber with a gelcoat finish. Strong and needs no reinforcement.

Ok, I'll check out the KBB site. Definitely want to look at all my options!

Here's my Fantasm, single TP 4082, built by KBB and custom paint by Steve Miles aka Propainter. I run 8s and its in the 50s, stays cool and is a blast. I've wanted to try 10s but the paint is so nice I think it would stress me out.

That's a great looking boat! I can see why you wouldn't want to scratch the paint!!!
