    ESC Arming Problem

I need some help arming my new hammer ep. I followed the instructions for arming the boat but it`s not cooperating. Transmitter on ,attach battery, turn receiver on and the motor runs WOT. Turning the trim only slows it a little, squeezing the throttle throws it into reverse without stopping. Flipping the reverse switch makes the esc chirp and the motor starts jumping back and forth.
    Any idea what`s wrong?

My thoughts are its not the esc. Howver you could try programming it again, The radios those come with are pretty cruddy. I had luck after turning the trim a certain way on radio however I cant rememver exactly which way. I would mess with the trim for a bit.

Thanks, I don`t think it`s the esc either, I have one from proboat I just tried and almost the same thing happened. I have a futaba system coming next week and that should solve the cheap electronics problem.

Well everything seems to be working now. I put the proboat esc back on without changing a thing on the radio and it`s working fine. Wish it was something obvious, oh well

Perhaps your neighbor was using a microwave. J/K. I have even noticed changing a servo helps at times if perhaps it has a naked wire. Let us know what you find
