    I need Some Fet Education

Well, While trying to remove the water cooling on a brand new, connectors never even added Castle Hydra120 ESC I managed to pull one fet off the board.

My question, do fets operate in parallel or in series???

If it parallel I'm not all that worried, and based on my (non-boating) application I may be OK to go as is.

If fets operate in series then I may have killed an entire group of fets, which means repair is the only option.

    Thanks

    Kevin

IMO, it looks like the fets are in parallel. That is how they would be able to add boards and get more amperage at the same voltage.

    How a controller works

This description is for a sensored esc. Our controllers use electric feedback produced by the rotor to sense the position of the rotor.

That should not have happened. Did you crack the FET or it just fell off and in good condition? Must be because of bad soldering connection. Might explain why some hydra's were burning up below max amps. Now you got Hydra 100... Try to not go over 60A with it now, just to be safe. I would call Castle about it.
