    Graphics removel HELP!!

I am changing the graphics on the hull in my avitar. The hull is gel coated with clear coat over it. How do I safely remove the glue residue from the old graphics? I don't want to damage the clear coat. What works the best?

I use "Goo Gone" with no problems on all of my boats, including my SV.

My two cents., you know the Rain-X that you use to smooth your boat, that some people even use here to take off the water resistance under their hulls? Try that, it takes it off and cleans at the same time with no residue left over. The Goo Gone is guaranteed to remove any sticker residue no questions there as it has citrus in it.

Sorry Doby no offense, I'm just not too fond of putting anything citrusy on a clear coat finish unless maybe cleaning it off quickly and thoroughly, I'm just really picky.

Any orange cleaning agent you have at home would work really. Go to any hardware or Home Depot to find the Goo-Gone stuff if you wish to use that.

          Peace~

Sorry don' t mean to scare you. You are ok with the Goo Gone, or Orange Cleaner just use it really sparingly, don't need much. I just remembered, if you have any dish soap, Palmolive, that will work to and it's gentle enough.

I got Goo Gone at the Home Depot a few years ago.
