Hi All,
I'm fairly new to the r/c boating scene, so I'm after some advice from the seasoned experts
A local hobbystore here in Australia had a closing down sale recently, and in the heat of the moment I picked up two 'vintage' r/c boats:
Robbe Florida
Academy Sea Dagger
I was going to keep them both and fiddle around with them, throw some mild brushless upgrades at them and see how they go. However, I'm currently bidding on an original Traxxas Villain IV on ebay, which is going pretty cheap with a few days left. I currently have an old Traxxas Nitro Vee on hand that I've been fiddling with, as well as some Traxxas nitro monster trucks, so I thought the Villain would make a good addition to the Traxxas fleet.
Now, I don't need 3 electric boats, I think just one will keep me entertained along with the rest of the gear.
So, factoring in that I win the bidding on the Villain, which one would 'you' keep and why?.....I'm not a racer, so something that is fun to drive, easy to upgrade and has spares available are my current criteria.
I'm interested to know your opinions
