For like $5 on ebay. Used it yesterday in a pair of channelocks and a propane torch with just lead free plumbing solder and it was incredibly easy.

I'm sure all you need is more input to confuse you, but........
I used to solder all of mine. I stopped two years ago. I found if I grind a chamfer on the end (rotating in the direction as to not unwind), they work great. 0.187, 0.150, etc.... I've actually transferred the same flex cable to different boats after years of use. Anyways, different strokes for different folks. Whatever you find works best for youComment

I went the route of a small crucible. Seems to have worked out pretty well getting the solder to wet and fill the top .375" of my .150 flexshaft off my son's Shockwave 26. The crucible and support piece get very hot. I had everything on a piece of tile and a thick wooden cutting board. When I finished I placed the tile and crucible on my concrete garage floor to cool overnight.NEVER SATISFIED RACING

If I were to do any more cable soldering I would do it by crucible. That is a great video, seen it once before too.Nortavlag Bulc
