Problem with my little FT009 rc boat, please help!

Hi everyone, i bought a FT009 boat for my sister's son. I tried testing it, and it doesn't work. I've searched on youtube, and found this video that is showing the same problem i have.https://youtu.be/E18bS8ZWE8w i bought the boat this winter, so waranty is over. Please help me!

Some of these have a switch so that they only work when they are in water. Try putting it in the bath and testing.

You can bind the radio on land.
The motor will not work unless the boat is in the water.
There are a pair of contacts under the hull. They must be shorted out as when the boat is in the water.
this is suppose to be a safety feature.

i did it, the light in the receiver box is flashing... the rudder moves a little when i put it in water, but nothing after that. the vid i posted shows exactly my problem. The boat in the video as been mod to bypass the in-water protection.

Ok,i managed to bind the boat and tx. Now the motor is working, but not the steering. The trim works fine, but not the steering wheel. Any ideas on what is happening?

Do you know if the battery is good? Fully charged balanced cells?

Yes, the battery is ok. 2S at 4.18v per cell.

I found the problem!!! The problem was a bad contact in the Steering switch, in the tx. I just changed the 3 wires and everything work just fine!!!
