    Blackjack 29 vs Motley Crew

I really dont want to start a war here, but, I am ready to buy another boat. cant decide which Catamaran to get.
Either a ProBoat BJ29, Aquacraft Motley Crew or a Lucas Oil. Not a big price difference between them. So, why is one better than the others? Not planning to go crazy doing alot of Modifications. Sometimes nearly stock can still be fun. Speed and Handling are the most important factors to me.
Also considered the HobbyKing Genesis, but lack of ease to get replacement parts kinda knocks it off the list.

I like the Structure Style of the Motley , but not the whole Theme of the Graphics. And, I dont want to get into a RePaint. I could live with it I guess.
Wow, Im so indecisive. They both would work as far as the looks department. The BJ29 looks a bit plain, but again, I could live with it. The main thing the BJ29 has going for it, is how many upgrade parts are available.

The motley is also available as a Lucas oil. Honestly I'm more of a pro boat fan but the motley can go faster than the geico without blowing over. The geico definitely looks better tho. I don't care for the motley layout. They are both good boats tho. A new version geico would be a good choice.

Tough call. The version 3 Blackjack runs so much better than the version 2 it's hard to think of them as the same boats. Wish it still came as the Geico.

They're both pretty good out of the box. Neither fairs well if you hit.....well........anything really.

There's always a mean machine but you have to assemble.

Do you think the V3 BJ still needs additional reinforcement?

Reinforcement is always a + especially if ur going to run on 6s or racing.I however am not.

I suspected as much. I will be running 2s in series for a bit but 6s will not be far behind!

My friend owns a Hobby Shop and he will sell me a Miss Gieco 29 NIB for $260.00 plus tax. That is his cost, i kow it isnt as good or fast as the BJ29, but that is a great price.

If I want to go fast I pick a boat that will withstand that speed. Aeromarine Ect. Lol the only time I wrecked a boat was driver's error, ran it into a dock.

When it comes down to a choice between proboat and Aquacraft with all the boats that I've seen around here, it seems to me that Aquacraft maybe a little bit faster when it comes to stock boats however when it comes to research and development and the quality of their builds (fit & finish) proboat is far better than Aquacraft hands down, imo .

i had both boats, the bj29 is 6s ready out from the box, both boats handle good, the graphics on the motley crew are killer. I already sold both but if I had to buy them again I will get the j29 v3, more solid electronics, the esc is a hobbywing 120a rebranded, i never had a problem with either boat. if I have to pick one...again bj29. imo
