    Why we test

Thought I would share this. I am finishing a build for a boat to race Open Class Mono. It is a 50" Herzog Typhoon. Some of the last things I do is test the water lines for leaks in the tubing or the motor can etc. I also drop the boat in a tub and do a final leak check. So I am doing the water leak test on the lines and I cannot blow the water through the esc? Never happened before. So line section by section I am testing and I find nothing wrong. Then, I think, maybe it's the copper lines inside the esc itself. I take a small piece of servo wire and run it through and low and behold I find the tiny little piece you see in the picture completely blocking the water flow!!!! Had I not done the test, I would have lost a 300 dollar esc and probably never knew why.

Always test everything out before you run your boat for the first time!

Me too found a blocked new esc, used a pipe cleaner to remove blocked tube. I use a 100 cc syringe and pump water through whole system.

Wish I would have done a check before bringing the mono on vacation with me. The cooling jacket fittings were leaking pretty bad and caused my receiver to act up because of all the water getting in it. Live and learn I guess.

Yeah, I have learned that pre-maiden check is real important. it is always the small details.
Thank you for sharing and this serving as a reminder how crucial this step is.
