OSE started carrying MBP stuff a few months ago. Might check with Steven to see if he's planning another order.

Personally, I think a MBP on a 8mm shaft with no flat spot would have a far better grip than a standard collet with a couple set screws on a flat spot.....My private off road rc track

Maybe. I just had not seen that before. That's why I asked.
I suppose it's not much different than what happens at the collet end. A mechanical clamp against the flex cable. That's even more sketchy.Noisy personComment

The MBP collets are MUCH more "true" than the "set-screw" type...
This is similar to how RC Plans have done it for years.Darin E. Jordan - Renton, WA

These mbp collets are by far the best collets I've ever tried. I promise if you try one you will like it....a lot.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

A set screw is definitely not needed. We've ran these on very high power and heavy setups and never had an issue with the collet spinning on the motor shaft. The collet portion of the coupler (the end that grips the flex) has been know to twist on higher stress setups though.Comment

Honestly I find the mbp collets more reliable. I've had set screws come loose. These have never come loose on me. They are very true running also. Every little bit helps.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment

I like the fact that I didn't have to maul a flatspot into my expensive Nue motor shaft.

That's a good point too. I myself was very skeptical about it slipping at first with no set screw but I have a 91mph mono, 96mph cat, 97mph cat, 85mph Daytona and a 70+mph cat that each has one and none have ever given me issue.32" carbon rivercat single 4s 102mph, 27” mini Rivercat 92mph, kbb34 91mph, jessej micro cat(too fast) wasComment
