esc? problem

my 19t(brushed) has a problem, I get about 5-10sec of full power then the motor cuts out for 1-2sec.s. am I overloading the esc? if so what would be a good replacement? thanks

What is the rest of the setup?

well the problem started while I was using an electrified hull(since moved to a 'no step 1'). rx-futatba r153f-75, esc 'duratrax intellispeed', motor trinity chameleon 19t, cells varied from 6 nimh (elite 3600) to max amps 2s 4000. motor and esc are approx 2yr.s old. problem was also evident when I tried a 27t p2k (just not as bad)

update (of sorts) went out and bought a new esc (good down to 12t), and have replaced the old 20t unit(also the motor). duratrax has nothing on castle for programming/set-up.

The Duratrax Streak is a good one for boats. It will handle your 19t motor well. Cheap too. If they get wet ,they seem to come out of it ok. I know mine have.
How are you guys doing? Sorry I couldn't go to your race this year. It wasn't because I didn't want to go.
I really want to make it next year though.

for the most part we seem to be doing well...there was some question whether peterson would have any boats to run up in canada this year...we did miss you this year though.

So what control did you buy? Another good one is the astro 212. Not the 212D. The 212 is much smaller and can work with bec. I have two of them in 6 cell boats. If you put out the word ,you want one. Someone is likely to have one for sale.

'duratrax intellispeed 12t modified esc' (w/ abs brakes and reverse,both are disabled). I'm hoping this one will last a couple of seasons...by then we might be doing bl motors
