    H45 Thunderbolt Hydro

I have an opportunity to pick up an Aeromarine H45 Thunderbolt RTR locally for a great deal. It's a gasser. Specs are 45" length by 26" beam and I think the hull alone weighs in at 7 lbs? It currently has a Zen 26cc in it.

I want to convert it to brushless. What power system should I be considering? Is it even worth considering as this is the heavier gas hull?

Castle 2028 and swordfish 300 would work. I had a Speedfreak hydro that looked like that and it went pretty well.

Cool, I have a 2028 that I can "borrow" out of a Baja 5b. What cell count did you run yours at?

Just get a 1/4" shaft with a turn down to 3/16". So you can use the higher rpm props. I guy at my club just ordered one of these to make it electric. I love the way that boat "looks".

              Alright, Thanks.

I ended up getting the boat yesterday. I want to run it as a gasser for a bit to see what that is like before going brushless...... maybe. I also like the look of the craft. Although I do want to add a scale wing to the back of it!!

Starting a new thread in FE hydro....
