hello everyone newbie into electric and boat racing i have a converted miss duce and looking to get going faster so here my setup recoment by a friend

leopard 3674 2200 d/3 with the water jacket
Hobby Wing "SeaKing" 120 v3 Amp ESC
2 x 7.4 5000 45c 5.5 mm bullet conector zippy batterie
prop octura 440 3 blade
2 water pic up

on the esc the seting is
1-set forward
2- 4 cell
3 no cut off
4-3.75
need to know if this ok and like to go faster

If you are referring to the Miss Vegas Deuce 32 incher I'd recommend a Leopard 4074 2200kv on 4s with an x442..................or the 440/3.

Here is my friends that I helped set up that way, got over 50 mph.

Hi,
You need to set a cut off threshold or you will run the batteries too low and render them useless.
The settings on the list you provided is not going to increase your speed. The most important thing to remember when using the program box is to set the cut off threshold and the motor timing.
In general: "Y" motor =15*
"D" motor =0-4*
The timing rarely will net any speed gain, it has to do with how the ESC energizes the particular winding configuration of the stator.
In some set ups such as high voltage and SAW extreme set ups, the timing will make a difference, but in your case it is just for the best efficiency and if that's achieved then a reasonable temperature on the motor.
If you want to go faster, the adjustments that you make to the strut means a great deal, how the boat rides in water, i.e. too wet (bow down, too dry resulting in unsteadiness, etc.) Also the prop selection is another aspect. That is why people have different props. The 440/3 is a safe prop to begin with, it won't heat up your motor/ESC, etc. too much. From that point you really need to invest in other props, it can be a bit expensive as you need to increase in pitch and diameter gradually. A good idea is too look for used prop that are sold by people here. Collect them one by one and in a year or two you will be surprised to see how many you end up with.
Sometimes if you can shoot a video and post it here, knowledgeable people can critique your boat's performance and give you valuable feed back.
