ok so i ran the quannum motor on 14 cells today.....great run by the way....it gave me a real long run time in my cat but the speed was not as much as the sv motor....... on 14 cells it was just as fast as the sv motor on 12 maybe slower..... should i a: make some 8 cell batts and run 16 cells.....B: by the sv motor and run 14......C: by the ammo motor and run 14.....D: by a fiego

those quntam motors arent as good as a feigao or any of the other motors you suggested, they dont last as long and usuallu wear out way before a feigao will...

its really supposed to be a plane motor...but you can try it for now if you want to...

If you want to be faster than the stock supervee you will need a motor with similar physical size and higher kv value. You can run a 10L or 12L. Make sure with any motor change that you start with the smallest prop and work upwards.

I'm kinda lost. Which boat and motor are we talking about. I thought you were talking the sv hull and quannum motor?

no i have a bk bandit s catamaran i first took the sv motor and esc out of mt sv and put it in the cat..... than i put the other esc and quannum motor in the cat..... im goin to advance the timing on the motor a little and see what results i get..... it was fast but the sv motor was faster.... i also got a really long run time so i might prop up..... im running a x440 3 blade..... would a bigger 2 blade be better??

Thats because the quanum is a much lower kv. Play with the formula on the bottom of this page to get some ideas.

Take another look at the formulas. It was changed in the conversion. It should be easier to understand now. Just change "yellow" fields to the numbers that you know.
