    Beginner in brushless

    Hi there

Bit of an introduction first - I have two petrol boats. One (Waverider Arrow 57) with a Rev unlimited 26cc in and an Outerlimits SV43 with a RCMK K600S in.

I am thinking about loosing the petrol engine in the arrow 57 and making it fast electric.

I know next to nothing about fast electrics so some pointer would be much appreciated. I want it to be twin and go as fast as possible for this style of hull and my budget.

I do not have a budget as such, just want to find some reliable parts (not top of the range, just reliable)

    So anyone know:
1 - what sort of speeds I could push with the arrow 57 (its a deep vee) with twin brushless?
2 - What motors would you recommend?
    3 - What batteries - obviously Lipo's?
    4 - And speed controller?
5 - Are the shafts 1/4" flexi's like petrol boats?

    Thank you in advance!

All answers depend on your budget.

Get ready to spend $1000 (plus) for 5 minutes run time.

      Thanks for the reply

oooo - yeah forgot about that - runtime - only 5 mins hey?! Jeese, I was thinking about £1000 - £1500

What do you reckon? I might need to look for another style of boat, scale or another gasser! I don't mind spending the money but 5 mins run-time is a load of rubbish! Especially as you cant just fill it up and go again!

So if I spent £1500 on the motors, speed controller and batteries would I be able to push 70+mph out of it?

You can just "fill it up and go again"...just need more batteries. Your budget is OK...are you set on twins?
