How to repair CF cat hull coming apart at the seam in bow area

    Hi,

My 41" CF ZondaCat/Fantasm cat hull is coming apart at the seam up front. Can anyone share techniques, methods to repair this problem?
    Attached is a photo.

Have you thought about epoxy? I would do a little slot with a Dremel tool on the 3 sides and fill those slots with epoxy.

Does it have foam or anything in the front that prevents you from getting to it from the inside?

Do you have any epoxy, fiberglass or carbon fiber experience ?

This is a weak spot the the TFL hulls. I fixed this one by filling the opening with chopped carbon fiber and epoxy, clamping it and again from the inside with more chopped cf and epoxy using a wood paint stirrer to pack the cf into the front of the tunnel.

OK. With clamps on the front end, can I also pour some Z-Poxy PT-40 epoxy resin into the interior of the bow, port and starboard points, ... or would that cause more damage?

As an added precaution, wrapping the sponson tips with the clear vinyl chip protector used in automobiles will ensure that it stays together.
Once it's on there, the seam really won't be able to come apart.
