I am currently in the process of putting together a 43 inch Challenger Pro. I have the following equipment for it.
1) Motor either a Leopard 5698 910kv or a Leopard 5692 1090kv.
2) I also have a Swordfish 4 to 12S 240 amp ESC.
3)The plan was to run on two 8S 5,000mAH packs in parallel for a total of 10,000mAH.
4) For props I have an Octura x445 or a no name Aluminum prop equivalent to an x450.
5)I have a choice of either 1/4 inch or 3/16 inch drive lines with stinger.
6) My Rudder is by Marine Specialties (a leftover from long ago when I ran nitro).
7) I will be using separate water pickups as it seems I get better flow to my electronics than with a rudder inlet.
My concerns are Amp draw, Amp draw and Amp draw. I was looking and I can get between 45 and 50 Mph out of this (I think) without stressing things out too much. I want it to be reliable and reasonably
fast, but, am not looking to join the 70 Mph club.
Any input on the viability of this would be appreciated.
