newbie needs some help first boat set up

hey all, need some advice on what esc i should buy,i have this cat from http://www.r2hobbies.com/proddetail.php?prod=rcbt1107_N and have not had much fun on the water with the set up it came with ,so from doing some research on this forum it seems a 8xl sounds like the go i have a hand full of 14.8 lipos 15c and not sure where to go for a esc (may be the castle 120),i also have a x440 fitted, any advice for a first fun cat would be great,oh it ran well for a few mins before the plastic melted of the 80 amp esc the cat came with .
    cheers, ando.

hi ando i have one of these boats but with diffrent motor mount and doesnt have the battery holder. i was running a 6xl 2800kv motor on 4s but it was a bit to hot of a setup so i have ordered a 7xl 2384kv motor from ose. try and tame it down a bit. but it will still be good for over 80klmh. have seen one setup with a 8xl 2084kv running a castle 120amp esc and a 42mm carbon prop that was doing 80 klmh. if you try this setup put your esc were the battery mount is and run a pack down each side to get the cog rite. good luck
