DF33 vs DF Cyber Storm 33

I have been flying airplanes since 1976 but new to boats. I have a Lucas Oil that I am learning with in P Limited. Really picked up it's speed with a detounged X442 and 6000 mah 70C batteries.
Next I want to try a mono. Trying to decide between the DF33 or the DF Cyber Storm 33. My plan was to run it in P Limited until I get the hang of it and want more speed. Then run P with 6 cell and probably a 4074 motor. Is it better to run strut or stinger? Our lake is fairly small, just bigger than the layout, and gets pretty choppy during a race. Handling is probably more important than all out speed.
    Any advise would be appreciated.

cyber storm is a better overall boat, i prefer a strut with a wet well to a stinger, but its a lot more work to build a boat w a wet well.

Thank you. I have heard the term "wet well". Do you know of any threads or build info one making one?

Thanks for pointing that out. I miss read NAMBA's chart. So P is any motor but 4 cell. Q any motor up to 6 cell.

I like the idea of the wet well. Looks like you could put single or twin packs close to the center without the motor in the way? Is it hard to balance with the weight of the motor that far forward? What size of outer tube do you use? About how long do you make it? Thanks, Bret

heres what I normally do, I place everything in the hull where it would "most likely" go and figure out where my CG would be, then I make sure I have some room to move the batts around a bit to adjust CG. I use 3/4" inside diameter carbon tube so I have 3/4" of up movement. In a boat the size thats in that build thread you can put the motor far forward and the batteries behind it, in a Cyberstorm you will still have to put the batts along side the motor, at least thats what I did with mine. If you give me your cell # I'll shoot you some pics of mine. My cell # is 917-417-0241 if you want to just text me.

I would love to see some pictures. I don't have a "smart phone". If you could e-mail them to me that would be great. [email protected]

So no kv limit in p mono? Or size? Of course there would be natural limitations...

The current NAMBA rule book says "Any amount and/or size of motors". No mention of Kv. Still it is limited to 4 cells.

4 cells 10,000 Mah and 34" any motor's are allowed but no more than 4 cells per motor and no more than a total of 10,000 mah. So for example you can have a 33" boat with twin NEU 1515/1y's each motor can use a 4 cell 5,000 mah battery.
