New Guy New Boat So Lost

Hello All New Guy here, Heli guy who finally worked up the ... to try boats. Got a rtr boat from Germany and maybe you can help me faster than waiting for them to wake up.

    Please forgive protocol errors.

Boat MHZ Lizard Xtreme RTR C-AFK What does (C-AKF) mean? looks like fiberglass to me..

Issue 1. the rudder is 5mm and the (slot) sorry is 4mm
    2. If i did get it in there it looks like it would hit the (propshaft)

    Ok I know i'm Dum20150508_163856.jpg20150508_164720.jpg

    WELCOME!
The MHZ Lizard Xtreme is a very nice boat, I have one and love it.
Did you get the boat from Germany already built?
Your pictures are not easy to look at (sorry).
Can you show us how the complete set up of the rudder bracket and strut look like, also need to see how far out the prop shaft is in relationship to the strut.
I built mine with non-MHZ hard ware, I can't tell if yours is MHZ or not, but the center strut in the bracket looks familiar to me like their hardware or some kind of copy:http://mhzusa.com/Rudder-10-with-lon...ket-m-1083.htmm-1083.jpg it seems your prop shaft is sticking out too much or it is not meant to have a drive dog and it will use a threaded prop. That I am not sure.
Also your second picture is either reversed or something is funny, the prop is a right turn prop, in a single drive boat the prop rotates Counter Clockwise.
It is a fiber glass hull as far as i can tell from the little bit of inside you have shown. Same as mine.
Too many boats, not enough time...

Looks like the wrong rudder blade for the bracket, allowing the blade to be to forward. This is probably confirmed being the wrong blade for that bracket with the slot being 4mm & the blade width at 5mm.

        @Tlandauer
        Thank you
        Yes directly from MHZ RTR

The picture show the rudder next to the bracket because it is too wide to slot into it.

I also paid for the kevlar version but i got the fiberglass one... hope MHZ sends me the Correct boat

The lasst picture shows that even if i did get the rudder in the slot it would hit the shaft.

In you picture the your rudder is well clear of the shaft.

I looks like MHZ sent me the wrong parts on this RTR boat fiberglass not the Kevlar uggg

@Martin I believe you are correct

If you look at the picture of the Lizard Extreme on the MHZ web site it shows a different rudder blade, that dosnt have such a large cut out at the top of the blade. So setting the rudder further away from the prop shaft.

The strut and bracket look like top notch hardware. Too bad either the rudder is too large or the bracket is too short, should send there photos to MHZ and ask for their answer.
The shaft and dog drive look gorgeous.
Keep us posted with your findings.
                  Good Luck!

I am a bit surprised that they are THAT careless with their transaction. Also if they did indeed set up the boat in-house, why the incompatible hardware...
