Mean Machine Deck delaminating. Need Glue advice

Like the title says my Mean Machine after 6 months of 70+ mph crashes is starting to come apart. I am in the process of repairing it, but wanted some advice to make sure I was on the right track. The area affected is in the front where the sponsons come together and in between them on the straight tunnel section as well. Basically most of the front of the boat.

I ground out what appears to be fiberglass resin (boy do they use a lot to fill some gaps) and am preparing to re epoxy. My plan was to use West System Geoflex 655 epoxy. I feel fiberglassing over the cap joint would be the best, but really don't want to repaint as it is blue gelcoat now.

Any suggestions on a better method or adhesive to use? Is this normal on the mean machines?

    Appreciate the help

It's not normal from what I've seen
Then again, neither is pushing that hull to 70mph constantly. It wasn't designed for it really.
I highly doubt laying some fiberglass strips along the seam on the outside is gonna do anything other than make it ugly.
Just clean and sand the joints you're gluing the best you can and glue.
West is good stuff, although I can't comment on the particular stuff you're using

Cool, I will give it a try. I mentioned fiberglass because this is how they put big race boats together. They fiberglass from the inside and outside allowing the joint to flex the same way the rest of the boat does (I built a couple and used to race them). I guess there is not a lot of room on RC boats to do from the inside and also it is costly.

Hope it works. Thanks for the advice
