    Swordfish 120 Question

I bought a SF 120 with the data logger last year and I have ran it a dozen times with great success. I never figured out how to use the data logger. The other day I ran my PT for a couple laps and the boat stopped. My first experience ever with the little white cloud. I pitched the motor and installed a new one. There is no tone from the ESC. The motor just barely turns when you pull the trigger and the motor jumps I believe from pole to pole and makes a noise like it's trying to go. I plugged in another new motor and the same thing. I would assume the ESC is dead. How do I verify. The ESC looks perfect. The motor appeared to be the fuse.

    Thanks, Allen

The motor is what we call 'poling'. This indicates that it has lost a phase. This can be in the ESC or in the wires/connectors. Check that one of the connectors on the motor wires of the ESC hasn't come unsoldered under the heat shrink. If not then I'm afraid something in the ESC has let go on one of the phases.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!
