Does the Pursuit hull need reinforcement for 55mph?

I'm bored with my Revolt 30, and getting ready to pull the trigger on a new Pursuit from HobbyKing. I plan on transferring the Leopard 4082 2200kv motor and SeaKing 180 over to the Pursuit, which should give me low to mid 50s on 4S.

My Revolt was able to handle those speeds and flip/crash without damage probably due to the basic carbon fiber layup the previous owner did to the boat.

However, the Pursuit's fiberglass hull appears to be a bit more robust than the Revolt's, I'm wondering if I have to bother doing an additional reinforcements at all?

    Won't hurt...
Just bought a BARE HULL, I would do a layer. I am not a big advocate of CF layup, I have done regular FG layups and my other Pursuit has that and the hull has survived flips at that speed w/o issue. CF would make it just bullet proof....
Too many boats, not enough time...

I use stringers but the last three I've built were carbon.

I have a Pursuit that I layered with Carbon/Kevlar weave. It is incredibly tough and difficult to penetrate. Its also quite hard to lay and cut. I am told that one should use fabric "pinking shears" but I havent had the courage to ask yet.....so I am using scissors. Just make sure they are sharp.IMAG0030.jpg

For cutting CF cloth, use these http://www2.fiskars.com/Crafting/Pro...s#.VRYM7PnF8eQ They are the ONLY thing I have found that will cut CF in a clean, straight line. Kind of expensive, but well worth it. I got mine at Home Depot, but am sure Lowe's or something similar would have them
We are surrounded-that means we can attack in any direction

Yeah that's the thing: serrated edge sheers. The problem is the Yellow Arimid fiber: the carbon isn't much of an issue.

Here are the one's I use for carbon. I don't use Kevlar.
