Help me plan my build

I would love to build a Electric cat in the 45-50" range.

Saw the new 48" gas rockstar cat and thought Man thats Kewl! would be even cooler electrified!

have been eyeing the genesis 41" hull at hobbyking ARTR for about $225 to my door

but keep thinking just a hair bigger would be sweet too,

the thing is, I dont want to have to cut into the hull. Yes I can do fiberglass work but would enjoy this build much more if it was all bolt up and go.

Any other recommendations other than the HK Genesis?

Buy the ART model. They don't make convention kits that bolt right up.

Just so as your aware the HK Genesis is 41" including the hardware, the hull o/a length is 37".

This one is 51", personally not a cat fan but I think this is one of the nicer looking hulls out there.
When boats (and planes) get this big I'd rather go gas than electric. Just think there is way more bang for the buck.

If you really want to build a large 50" hull, check out the MHZ X large hulls. They are not inexpensive, but well built. Also, a boat of that size is pricey for hardware and powertrain.

Those are great but are not plug and play. I may just keep saving for the 48" rockstar gas boat.

You are not going to find a RTR electric boat of that size, biggest electric is the Zonda and I'm not sure the size, high 30's maybe 40".
You could have somebody build you one but it will not be cheap.
By the time most people decide to get into bigger boats they have run a number of smaller boats, after they have gotten over the learning hump they build their own. Especially with electric, even with small boats it can be an expensive learning curve, one short run with the wrong prop can take out escs, motors, batteries........
