Pop-up survey on OSE?

I had one come up in a new tab, didn't look quite right though, closed it, was it "real"? Said I would get stuff worth $50.

It had Offshore electrics at the top but the font wasn't the same, I answered two of the questions.............male or female..........and how often do you get on the forum, then I just exited out of the window cuz it seemed bogus...........

there is a way to start poles. I dont remember how to do it. ill have Danny look into it.

Must be bogus, if it were genuine it would have asked " Thrust bearing or no thrust bearing" as the first question.

To start a Poll, During the creation of a new thread, there is an option (via check box) that says:

Post a Poll □
Create a poll with this number of options (Maximum 10): □

All the OSE links that I know of, open within the same tab. The only one that opens a new tab is when you're in the store, then you click the "Forum" link. If you were on the forum page and a new tab opened, I'd look into your browser. Let me know if it happens again. Try to get a screen shot, and if possible, right click on the page and select "view source" copy that text and email it to me please.

I clicked on a new thread and it came up in a different tab..................it plainly said Offshoreelectrics in a halfway looking copy of the real lettering in the blue. Then asked me male/female etc.......... If it does it again I will screen shot it.

I have not had any issues with the forum. I always check to make sure my PC is clean... Scan drives offline once a week with Linux. Have found some interesting stuff.... lol

Wake thanks for the info. It never hurts to look into these things. I did some server scans and everything seems fine.

But there are always hackers out there looking to make all of our lives hell. A screen shot and what you did on your pc right before the popup will help.
