Yea that was my first issue of R/C boat mag and I wasn't that impressed.... Lots of toys in there. Jay artical was about the only good thing IMO -

as far as the race, in the A-main hydro, the best boats of the day ran together, I had a few chances to make up for my ridiculously wide first turn (first to last in 1 second lol) but it didnt happen and soon flipped for good.
