    Kbb34 hull

I posted a thread a couple weeks ago about a mono I was looking at getting. It was an outer limits mono that hobbyking has. Good looking boat with a nice paint job. Had my mind set on it, I wanted a nice rough water knock around boat that I could go fast. I was going mainly for looks because I like a sleek looking mono like a revolt and this outer limits hull. Then someone told me to have a look at Keith's site and check out a mono he had. Well when I saw it, I loved the look of it. But the price had me a little apprehensive about it. After talking to Keith about it and him explaining that the quality is hard to show in pics and he assured me it was a well built hull. So I bit....and bought one. It was waiting on my doorstep this morning after I got back from running some other boats. I rushed to open it up like it was Christmas. Man. Words cannot describe this thing. The seams are perfect. Everything about it is perfect. I feel like it's so strong you could almost stand on it and not hurt it. The cut out for the hatch was perfectly straight and the hatch is so thick, I don't see it breaking at all. I had no idea that fiberglass could be laid up this nice and so strong. It already has a carbon plate in the transom adding reinforcement. You really don't have to do an inlay on this hull but I am because I love the look of a carbon interior. I have a lehner motor set aside for my carbon shocker but this hull is so nice that I'm seriously thinking about putting it in there. I can't wait to get started on this thing. I felt compelled to show you guys some pics. I was originally planning on painting it but now I don't know. The gel coat is so shiny and flawless it would be a shame to cover it!

Nice hull. Has some decent freeboard making it look semi scale.

I think you're the first on here to build this hull?
      Curious how it will run...

If it runs the way it looks, it's going to be killer! I can't wait. I think my honey comb carbon comes in tomorrow. I've got some serious inlays to do this weekend. Mini, shocker, cheetah and Rivercat.

What are you gonna do for hardware?

I've got a rudder (he surprised me with it and tossed it in) and I've decided to go strut style for a carbon flood tube for the adjustability. Kintec motor mount (my favorite...wish Steve sold one like this. Mbp collet. I just got a new 1521 in today from ose but I'm not sure if im gonna use it or the 2260 lehner I got in today too. Servo...something nice with a billet case. I have a new mamba xl2 esc that I'll covert to water cooling and try that in there. It's the same exact thing as a hydra ice 240 except the top she'll is shaped different for cooling tubes. If not I always have a swordfish 240 pro plus.

I'm thinking of using one for my df 35
I'll have to look at kintec to see which mount you speak of

Hull looks amazingly good. Sharp lines all around. KFX, it is good that you got it, I am going to follow your build.

I was going to do a regular carbon inlay but after seeing how awesome this hull is I'm not going to half do it. Honey comb carbon looks sharp and I think it would go well. I'll be starting tomorrow. Gotta order a bigger carbon tube for my flood tube unless one of you guys can send me a piece and I'll either buy it from you or order you a replacement.
