I got my new pursuit decked out leopard 4074 180 amp seaking 60c 4s battery. I floated level and no binding in the drive train. Switched out the stock shaft for a .187 from OSE. Any help with setup would be greatly appreciated. ATTACH=CONFIG]127973[/ATTACH]image.jpg

Looks good...
My preferrance is to have the ESC on the port side, because of the rotation of the prop, the heavier side should be on the port side. Also your ESC is pretty far in the middle, make sure your COG is not bow heavy.Too many boats, not enough time... -
Yeah, make sure your cog is correct, thats a big batt to have sittin so far up, I run two 2s batts on each side of the motor for weight distribution. Set your cog at 8.5-9" from transom for starters.NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

put those trimtabs a bit up because a pursuit doesn't need that amount of trimtabs!
you don't need to cool that motormount with an inrunner , it's just so much longer cooling lines with extra bends without any significant advantage
it's hard to see , but i think you can put the turnfins way higher and there seems to be about half a meter power lines from lipo to esc
what prop are you using , Kv motor ?
those hard nylon straps to hold the lipo down : not my thing , will probably damage the cells
and as been said ; this boat is going to run very wetLast edited by iop65; 02-12-2015, 07:12 AM.Comment

The 450/3 is pretty beefy, you got an x447/448 2 blade for testing purposes? The 1900kv opposed to a 2200 will swing more prop however...........the 450/3 may be the "one" after its all said and done.
Run it the way you have it now to see how she does, check your cog first though, no sense in just plowing along super wet.......
If you decide on the 2 x 2s batt config, heres how I would suggest:Attached FilesNEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

450/3
that's a big prop!
don't use that!
would start with 43-45 mm 2 blad and see how see goes , since it's all new for you you will not get into problems
would buy cnc props , they are ready to go, no need for balancing and just fine for your purposes
later on the 47mm range should be about right a guess
i use "batterie velcro " to keep a lipo in place
the 1900Kv ,for me ,is an 5s motor or 6s in a cat but it will do the trick for starters
maybe a better picture (inside) ?Comment

The 1900 4074 is actually a great 4s motor, it will allow more prop for very similar top speeds. 5s will need a smaller prop which there is no benefit from, except losing some bite in corners. The 445 you mentioned will obviously work too, but his kv slaps him right in the high 40mm range on 4s.........maybe the 450/3 will work out in the long run after his testing with less prop and checking temps etc........NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS??
