Delta force 35 vs pirate 35

    School me on these please.

    1. Is the pirate a deeper V?
    2. What size motor would be just a little more than enough?
Which size drive for a 35" hull? 3/16 enough?
    Thanks

    1. AFAIK the Pirate does not have a ride pad. Otherwise the bottoms are the same.
    2. 1527/1.5D on 6S
    3. 3/16" cable is plenty.

There is a little more room for batteries outside the rails as well due to additional freeboard height(should this mounting route be taken) on the Pirate. Given the opportunity again, I would go with a Pirate rather than my 35" DF.

Thinking you need a mono to get 'back into the game'?

IMO the Pirate will handle rough water better, as noted 3/16 is sufficient, with either hull I'd go the 6s2p route with a Castle 1717 or a Leopard 4092(1480kv), that will get you touchin 60 mph.

Luck, I have a DF 35 what are your plans? PM me if you need any information. The DF 35 is an awsome boat by far my favorite in rough water. I am sure the pirate is a nice boat however I have had no personal experience with it.

As i had suggested 6s2p is a great setup for that hull, I have a 39 incher that I get 60mph out of with 6s2p and a Castle 1717(1580kv). I think you made a good choice!

thanks for the heads up man :yes way:
good price too.... buuut, I'm not sure what I'm gonna put in yet, however I'm going to be using all new parts on this.
for starters i have the hull coming , which was supposed to show up today, of course the post office sends it north to nh, when I'm a half hour west of the ose store...
should be here tomorrow. then i got 4ft of cf cloth coming from kbb, and some hardware from ose. everything but the stinger to be exact which aren't in stock.
I'm hoping to get started this weekend, but it really depends if i get the cf or not....
                        electronics come later
appreciate you thinking about me tho man
