    Old time stinkboater needs help

In process of converting 20+ year old fiberglass 38" hull to electric. Have had many power train suggestions but still unsure of what I really need. So far the engine seems to be a leopard 56110 w/ 680Kv. Swordfish Pro 2200 ESC, with a LiPo 8S 5000mah 40C.
I'm looking to get to 70 mph. I have a lake behind my home perfect to set up closed course. I beleive. It's big enough for this speed. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.image.jpg
    Thanks

I don't really want to rain on your parade, but in all honesty the largest problem is - you will not reach anywhere near 70 mph with the current submerged drive setup, you will have to convert it to surface drive. Then you can use more appropriate motors like the TP 4060 (a better motor than the Leopard IMO). Frankly I don't know if that old hull design would even be stable at 70 mph - have a photo of the bottom?

If you want to use the 56mm motors, a 5692 is plenty big. The 730 Kv motor and an x455/3 could get you into the high 40s with the submerged drive - but start with an x450/3 to check for heat.
