    Reinforcing the hull

    On the Syncron should I reinforce the part of the hull the strut mounts on.

    if you mean put in a transom doubler then yes if there already isn't one there. is it thin like the rest of the hull?

      You should glue a plywood doubler inside the transom if there in not one there now. I use 1/4" ply on a boat that size - hobby grade, not weak construction grade interior ply. Don't froget to waterproof it with a coat of thinned epoxy or similar after installation.

        Yes the transom is thin like the rest of the boat. What do you thin the epoxy with?
