    Has anyone ran this hull?

I'm wanting a mono for a little rougher conditions, just basically to knock around with. I keep eyeballing this boat because I think it's awesome looking and cheap.

I plan on ripping the innards out and doing an inlay along with better mounts and components. I have a few motors in my stash that would push it well. Just wanted to know if this thing runs well or not?

I have one that i had ran last summer and i really like it, all stock on 4s2p though. It has been a good boat in ruff water for me. The only complaint i had is that the paint chiped off kinda easy. But all around its a good boat

If you're going to trash the inards anyway, Steve here has a some good mono hulls. From my reading here, both of the below are good on rougher water.

I'm mainly looking for something that I don't have to completely build. I don't have time for that right now. I can redo fairly quickly. I really have my mind set on this one because of the paint and theme of it. Plus hardware is there too. I have a much better hull in mind that I'll be doing a nice build on, this I just want to knock around with.

I had heaps of fun with this one. But I sold it some time ago.
            A couple of things though.
It is a stepped hull a-la European racing. Fast in a straight line but very unstable in the corners at full noise, unless they are wide sweeping turns.
A longer rudder & turn fins helped a lot.
The motor is a great little unit. TFL SSS series. Easily handles a 445, 440/3 642.

Here's a thread I did on it over on R/C Groups. Some good info there from some European racers too.
The video was it's first run out of the box. We got it going quite a bit faster with some adjusting.

See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

It is definitely a cool looking boat. I'd consider one for bashing around in chop as well

I think after looking at the last ride pad and not having strakes (if that's the proper term) in it I'm going to look for something else. Or would it be worth forming some up?

Travis, with all due respect and admiration, i thought you didn't want to spend too much time??
With your skills and expectation, I would build something from the ground up, you will never be happy with something some other hired hand in a remote factory built...

It will get run in 6s, 7s and 8s. I have a 1521 1577kv neu for it. Should push it well.

                            Trav,

I have a buddy with one running close to 70mph on 6s with limited R and D. It is very nice in the straits but is super unstable when trying to turn, if it isn't a wide slow turn you will flip over "Everytime", that boat get's rescued every weekend. Also, I know you don't use tape but this Hull's canopy tends to want to come over more than usual when compared to other mono's at the lake. My boy has had to purchase 2 of them in the past 7 months because in blow overs they keep coming off ( and he didn't have floatation on them).

wow i didn't know keith had a mono now. pretty nice looking.

as far as the boat in the op, its def cool looking, but lets face it, how long will you be content bashing that thing around at its max potential? we all know you travis, and we know you're gonna want to make it go faster lol. i can't speak for the kbb, but the two monos posted ( aeromarine or delta force ) are both great hulls and will turn WAYYYY better than that outer limits hull. a mono that can't turn is basically useless imo. that why you get a mono... to carve turns and eat waves....
