    flex cable?

Have not tried this using loctite904 on the motor side, always solder that end. Seems like a good idea. especially for older flex shafts with grease on them seems like u can't get all the impurities out. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thabks mike

I haven't soldered the end of a flex cable for at least seven years. I use 603 and have never had a cable unwind or loosen. Note that I only use collet flex couplers, never a set screw type.

I solder them usually, or use loctite 603. Tried with 638 and it was way too thick. Definitely an important step though for when the cable gets crushed down.

This is a cool video that some may find useful definitely want to try it this way this season.
