    First Annual Callaway Gardens Regatta

Im aware this is kind of late notice as it was for me as well. This is more of a demonstration than a race this year. There isnt much time alotted for FE but if enough people atted we can set up some sort of classes to try to put a race together. This event is being put on my Mr. Warren Aldrich but i am organizing the FE end of this for him . We are using this to try to bring more people into this hobby. We plan on having a more/less seminar also to talk to people about the hobby.

The lake will be more less divided into thirds. One third is for a Scale utility boat competition, the second third will be set aside for sail boats, and the final third will have probably an 1/8th mile oval set up for FE.

The event is Saturday August 30th.

I know it is probably going to be hard to Justify this trip for a one day event but for an effort to grow the hobby i feel it would be worth it.

This is the website with all the specfics. This is Callaway Gardens Annual Hot Air Ballon Festival this same weekend so there will be alot of spectators/possible future model boaters. You could also turn this into a family event . There are all kinds of attractions in the park.

Please fill free to call me with any questions or with any input.

Oh no he didn't,,,that was a jab at our winters up here,,,,mean man,,,just plain mean.
Although on the plus side, our boats are faster up here as they do get several months rest a year.

I might have believed that at one time,,,but now,,,I'm not so sure anymore.

Have you guys even seen snow? (other than on TV) Have you even brought your boats in after a run and noticed that the water on the deck has frozen??? Hatch tape the won't stick because of the cold???

Whats the definition of a cold day in Atlanta?? 70 degrees

And as for your comment on your boats not getting anymore than a weeks rest,,,again,,thats just rubbing salt in the wound

I'm going to curl up in the fetal position and have a nice cry now.....................
