    What to start with

Went and seen my friend race his boat today.
    He knows i'm into R/C.
About a dozen guys have been holding boat race's.
I like the faster class, the smaller round nose did not do much for me.
I do know that i will use a NEU motor and Casle Creations speed control, I have them in plane's and Heli's.
I like and tend to buy good stuff.
    I did see a Hydro Marine ( Lifter ), i liked this.
    Also looked at Phil Thomas.
They said something about 30 inches and have to watch the cost for the rule's.
I do have a thunderpower charger 1010C and used E-moli battery setup in Heli
    6S & 7S.
The more RTR the better, I think maybe fiberglass hull that i would need to install the electric's--drive exc.
Can you give me some to look at with what is needed to finish them.
TheR/C Boat club here in Pueblo Colorado is called ROCKY MOUNTAIN THUNDER BOATS.
    Thanks from Greg

What a wonderful broad range question. If I were starting out I would "even though you dont like them" perhaps start out with what your buddys are running. Sounds like they are running some nice gear. It really depends on what you like and are comfortable with for your first build and what the club rules are that they have as far as classes. If they are not sanctioned to IMPBA or NAMBA then I guess its pretty open. If so pick a hull in the size range you need and present that to the forum. Not many would know where to begin stating what hull to buy. Sorry if this is no help just kinda a general question.

There are more then these 2 classes. There are also more to the rules then you have listed, ie. hull length limits, maximum motors and MSRP cost also maximum mah rating and prop limits. It would be best to know and fully understand the rules before building a boat if your plans are to race in the club.
