    Cyberstorm33,Pursuit32,Pirate35

    Hi Gents,
I'm wondering what is the best all round hull out of the cyberstorm33,Pursuit32 or Pirate35 for a rough water sport hull that must like turning. Anyone that knows how the v angles go would be greatly appreciated as well.
    Thanks RB

The Vee angle on a Cyberstorm and Pursuit are the same the best I know. The Pirate I don't know. The Lizard in same size category is an excellent stable fast boat.

Pirate hands down run mine in rough water all the time no problem even in real boat wakes. Lots of fun hoping the 3 footers.

Delta Force Cyberstorm : 32.25" ; Pursuit has same bottom, hatch slightly different
Delta Force "33" : 33.25" ; small ride pad, low freeboard, shallow frontal deadrise (fast/stuffs in big waves)
          Aeromarine Laminates Titan 40 : 33.35" ; high freeboard, deep V
          Insane 34 : 34" ; mid freeboard/deadrise
          Delta Force Pirate : 34.85"

In ascending order of rough water capability : (I've built/run/raced all but the Pirate)

          Cyberstorm (& Pursuit knockoff)
          Delta Force 33
          Titan 40
          Insane 34

Pirate - due to its larger dimensions will play best in big water - #1 choice

[MHZ Lizard X is a very nice deep Vee and can do well in sloppy water but is IIRC 32.25" but is a very fast hull]

Funny how this thread came up as I was asking a few people the same question. Then this post pops up LOL I have the Pursuit, it handles better then the Revolt in rough water. I have been asking some veteran boaters what is the best boat on the market for rough water. I plan on racing more NAMBA events in 2015 in the P Mono and P limited/Spec classes. With the P classes, the boat hull can not exceed 34". The Pirate is 3/4" over the limit. I know some body work can fix that. Would it be worth it and will it handle the same after the work.
Thank you to those that were able to write about there knowledge and experience. I Was looking at the Delta Force 33 since it is wider but I don't think it has such a deep V as the Pirate. Thinking that a wider boat would handle the rough water better. Trying to look at this at many different angles.

The Pirate and the Delta Force 33 are both the same width - 10.25". The Pirate is almost 1 3/4" longer.
              Thanks again
              Rob

The DF33 runs very nicely in P-spec mono sprint with an AQ 1800kv motor and one 4S pack. Since it is a fairly light layup and wide it airs out nicely and is very stable. I used to run it in P-mono but, the deeper vee in a Pursuit or other handles full P-mono power better imo.

Thank you Ray for the feedback.
I am testing a second Revolt that I just picked up that has the battery tray removed. I will find out if this will improve the handling. I am using a Revolt in the P Limited that has the battery tray in the factory location. Always wondered if that was a mistake - center of gravity to high. I will know more tomorrow. Who knows, the Revolt maybe a keeper. LOL Unlikely, in rough water racing it was terrible.

If anyone else has feedback or personal experience - please share. I would like to build the correct boat one time.

Took the Pursuit and the Revolt out today. The Pursuit ran 50.8mph until a wire broke loose from the bullet on the motor. This was with a M445 and a NEU 2600kv on 4s. With the Castle 1515 2200KV I ran the same speed. I forgot my prop tray to try a 3 blade prop. My goal was 53mph.

The Revolt is stock besides the inside has epoxy for added strength. The stock battery tray removed. The 1800kv motor was being used. Turns out the motor is bad. I was only able to go 34mph. I was able to see the rear race spinning when the motor was spinning. The race should not be moving, plus the stator/shaft was recessed from the rear. The reason I was trying this boat is that the battery tray has been removed. I have heard some positive feedback when this is removed. The boat can reach mid 70's without appearing as if it is on the edge.

When I arrived at the lake the water was rough which I thought was great so I can test the Pursuit in the rough water conditions. Of course as soon as I get everything together the water was calm. LOL Never works that way when you want it too. At 50mph, the Pursuit was stable and smooth. I did roll it testing the limits in a turn.

Hav a boat like the one on that site lot lighter then the df
A 36mm motor will push it and only 2 inches or so shorter .and lighter
Also stronger then the revolt and if its got fuller hardware good deal
Fuller is also races, he can answer questions if u phone him
His# is on his site nice man hope this helps : mike

All of these boats are capable, it really depends on what you want to do with them? Rough water?? all of them can be run in rough water but at what speed??? racing speed? crazy speed? slow? at 35-40mph I have driven all of these boats (except the pirate) all the way across long island sound while jumping the wake of my 37 foot Formula, at 50-60 mph they are all capable race boats in almost all conditions, above 60 none of them are great in rough water, in my opinion. My DF33 easily does 70 mph and ask anyone who's seen it, but it really doesnt perform at that speed, I throttle it and drive below 60 in race situations.
