Octura flex hex OCFHE4MM13 wobble ?

Hi all bought a new Octura OCHE4MM13 FLEX hex when mounted on motor shaft noticed a slight wobble .Has anyone had a similar experience? I have been using Octura flex hex's for over 20 years never had such an issue/. Regards Andris Golts.

As unusual to you as it may be, from time to time there are out of spec items from Octura. I had two 5mm - .187 collets that you couldn't tighten at all, no matter what I tried, even using anti -seize compound. They weren't machined right.
May be not the exact item you have, but I remember other people had the same experience as you had.
I ordered two new ones and they were fine.

Yes.... it happens. My collection of collets etc etc is probably far smaller than most on here and I have a few that simply tighten off centre and put a wobble in the flex. Switching out the faulty collets fixes the issue instantly. With high volume factory made gear it seems all too common to find manufacturing faults these days.

I've stopped buying them for that very reason. The 8mm couplers are ok but the 5mm ones are a problem lately. I've replaced all my 5mm couplers with the TFL ones over the last year or so.
Smaller diameter & mass. A much smoother running coupler in my opinion.
