Tks Shawn, I am really looking forward to running this and learning about riggers. Hopefully we get a 50* day so I can.

They can be tricky but you should have no problem. My experience taught me to watch props. There can be a very fine line between 'happy place' and POOF.

Would a modded 640 prop be a good starting point ? I'm going to start with a 3S lipo so 42000 rpm +-. Get it tuned in, then go 4S and hold on

I bought one recently myself and plan on putting an old 8XL in it on 4S for fast sport running.
Scott, tks for the link. Meant to do so sooner. I am doing the wing mod, did they convert to using collet rings on the booms ?

Since I'm not looking to run anything with this other than "SAW" so do I need to stiil run with that big turn fin ?

You will need some thing for a fin or you will go straight DJ. The a$$ will kick out from the rudder but it will go straight. There is just nothing 'in' the water to hook it up.

BTW I would go 637 or 440 to start. The goal would be to one day run a V937 or so, without the POOF.

You want to put the CoB as far forward as possible to keep this boat on the water.
