    Outboard on a Q mono, looking for advice

    Hi Guys;
    Am about to mount an outboard on a 36" Q-mono, and I wonder if anyone has experience running an outboard on a mono as I have none.
    Questions like, "do I still need turn fins" come to mind.

    Any advice appreciated...

      Hi;
      It's an AMPs International Hobbies Baja 200s
      Putting a K&B 3.5 leg on it with FE conversion
      I have a motor cowling like the one in the pic here, but I only have Merc 350xs decals. Would like some Johnson or Yamaha decals but have no clue how to get them
      Was made by a fellow under one-time authorization from AMPs, so is a brand new hull. Unlike the photo, it is black, but still with the multi-colour metal flake
      6S 2P
      180 Amp ESC
      Am installing a 2nd servo for on-the-fly trim adjustment, which I've not seen done on a K&B leg/mount yet. Someone will have done this but I don't know who they might be

      I sure wish AMPs outboard legs were still available

      Anyway, thanks to any and all for advice, experience, do's, don't's, anything.......

        You might consider a 7.5 sized lower. 36" is a pretty big hull for a 3.5...

          Is the 7.5 leg longer than the 3.5?
          The 3.5 decision was actually advice from Mike Luszcz.

          Also, added one photo to link above

            That boat looks like it'll be fine with the 3.5...

            I think the Pro Boat Stiletto lower unit would look GREAT on there... :)

              ProBoat leg doesn't have enough canopy/hood room for the motor, cooling lines/outlet and oil lubricator reservoir I have in mind.
              I have a PB leg on my TS3 and even that needs a hole in the canopy top to allow for the AQ 2030kv motor.

              It's a thought though, thanks.....
