    will it handle?

    just wondering, will a stock SV27 brushless esc handle a 7-XL motor? thanks.

    If you keep it under 45A it should.

      For maybe a few feet, because out the hole surge might kill it. That motor draws 95amp max and that esc handles 50amp surge max 45 continuous.

        The motor is rated at 95A max operating current. It can draw much more than 95A at stall, depends on battery voltage and short circuit amperage capability. So that value is not useful for us here. I think it may be safe to try with 2S pack and around 35 - 40 mm prop. Measuring WOT amps and staying below 45A is really important here. At 4S i think there will be smoke. I don't think SV27 esc is enough power for your Vegas anyway, Rydefab. Mine now sucks 70A at full speed of 45mph. And i run 6S LiPo equivalent. That's about 1300W of power.
