Well heres what I gleened so far...

The MM is about $160, its the shortest of the bunch and its 11" wide.
    A good proven all'rounder that'll be quick on a single inexpensive 4074 on 4s.
The hull pictured at OSE looks a little rough, probably have to sand and paint? I kinda want to avoid all that, especially after seeing those cf Fightercats...

The River Cat is in the middle on length, but its narrow at only 9".
Good for speed, so-so for turning. It looks like it'll be cramped if I went with twins.
The kicker here is the CF version is only $200 - It just got more attractive as a single drive option.
Can I run cut-down twin rudders, both mounted on that pad? Who makes that hardware and is it even a good idea?
At least it would look a little better, maybe even turn better?

The Cheetah glass is $160 and its 34 inches long by 13" wide.
Should turn really well, but to get it to run as fast as the MM on a single 4074 I'd probably have to go spendy on the motor/esc? No?
Any chance it would keep up with a MM on identical running gear?
Like I mentioned before... I could run two 4074's on cut down props for good launches as a twin and good top end?

My other option is the Cheetah CF... its simply badass and worthy of 2 Leopard motors or at least one highdollar motor/esc/lipo's, maybe two.
With the motors mounted real low just in front of the last step it almost looks like I could run a straight shaft to the stingers instead of cable drives? Anyone know?? Bad idea?

But of course, the darn Cheetah CF hull is $360 freaking bucks.
Why is the CF River Cat $200 and the slightly larger Cheetah is a whopping $160 more?
Nothings ever easy or perfect is it...

Well all.. throw me your .02 on all that.
I need to make up my mind and get the list to the Mrs. for xmas.

You almost answered the question yourself!
firstly let me say I didn't follow every single post in this thread, and I don't know how many motors you have, but you have been given a lot of excellent advices and inputs here.
I love my MM, when I was building it 2 years ago, guess whose boat I was modelling after?! It was Luck's, down to the inner hatch.
I know that I wanted to start with a single build, get a feel for it was my mantra, everyone is different.
I also know that look is important for me in a twin, if it is twin, it's got to be scale, that's on my mind.
With that said, on the other hand,
Cheetah can look really cool ( Properchoper has a great picture of his Cheetah on water), and I have come to realize that it can be great either as a single or twin.
      River cat has been proven.
I know I am not saying much about anything, but wait... what kind of person are you? Do you let your wallet decide or your heart?
If wallet is your thing, a MM is in your crystal ball...
If you let your emotions run over your budget, look for something more fancy...
Last but not least, twin rudder will only increase your drag, forget about it...
Another thing to ask, what makes your heart pump faster? Straight line speed runs or the thrill of turning the boat FULL THROTTLE and seeing how the boat responds to your command/demand?
See, I am a roundy round guy, my heart gets pumping when I know the boat is turning full steam and it is just under the threshold of flipping, but it is not...
Now, to be fair, may be I am just trying to find an excuse for my slow boats!!!

      Good luck with the choice!

I'm running the cheetah on a single leopard 4092 with four Jens ace 3s 5000 two series two parallel the thing flies out of the water often don't know how fast but its up there. The motor you have could probably work well as a single with the right prop on 4s but twins with the cheetah would be awesome. The cheetah Is a great hull. Whatever you decide to build is really your choice and need for speed.

This is my sons cf cheetah leopard 4092 1480kv on 6s with an x477/3 prop maiden run. Due to prop walk it was initially going sideways at full throttle next time we offset the thrust angle now its much more controllable. At first as speed topped out you had to turn rudder all the way just to go straight. As you see he almost ate the wall. Now its trimmed out nice and it screams. So this is full speed dragging full left rudder.
