Horizon Hobbies lost a sale of 3 boats

Have tried for 2 days to contact Horizon Hobbies both email and phone.Even tried the stupid press 1 for call back option. " Santa was ready to buy 3 boats.......no more.If I can't get someone to answer in sales, bet trying to get someone for warranty would be a joke as well..........no Proboat for me.

    That is too bad ...
It had been a pain to get someone on the phone. I got a 15% Black Friday deal but their site had some issues, would not accept more than one items on my shopping cart. Tried to call CS and held the phone for more than 30 minutes on two occasions.
Finally their site was working and I got my purchase but I haven't tried to talk to anyone there for a long time, so I wonder if it is just the holidays or you need to be more patient than ever nowadays.
Too many boats, not enough time...

Yes, I listened to the pre-recorded loop for 30 min. on each occasion but I put it on speaker phone so I can be on this Forum, lol...
It wasn't a big deal, I just waited until their site was back on correctly. I agree, may be a busy time of the year. I wish all that business is boat related though!

Yes I have the correct number.I don't care how "busy" they might be. No excuse to not pick up a call after more than 30 minutes waiting. Never responded to email either.

On the other hand, they ship as fast as OSE, I placed that order on Sunday and the delivery truck just pulled up.
Unless you have specific questions, the way I see it is do your home work here and then just order whatever you need, try to avoid having to deal with live help as much as possible.
just saying, not trying to minimize your frustration.
Hope you have better luck with them in the future.

I ordered parts with the 15 percent discount, but the cart did not recognize the discount and I was charged the full price. Fail by HH!

Almost all MAP pricing local hobby shops will uphold the Horizon Hobby specials and discounts if you ask... HH credits them back to do so, I use ray and robins here in Maine, and hobby warehouse in Nashua NH who both give the latest specials and even accept HH's discount codes directly through them... HH is a good company for the most part, we all have our flaws...

Of course I never buy boat stuff from them as they only have the RTR stuff... I get a lot of their airplane stuff and the heli stuff through them Though.
