Sam, I using the Savox digital SW-0231 it has metal gears and is waterproof....they cost right around 45$, but they are one of those buy only once type items. 200oz of torque at 6v, 2 ballbearing, 25t spline which if I remember right thats same as futaba, traxxas etc...One headsup thing using these servos, not a common occurance but I did have it happen in a rc shortcourse 4wd truck...they are a high draw servo (amps) and can cause glitching, depending on what rcvr, esc combo etc.. Its actually a very easy fix just use one of these http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ed-this-device ....lookn forward to your build, pls do the build on here and document it for us, I havnt gotten to mess around with one of the new tunnels like this yet... I plan to do a "build" thread, but I'm horrible with taking constant detailed pics like that lol!! But I will do my best. Should be fun.
I found the servo you are talking about. I also found another that is pretty much the same servo but is core-less. Dont know anything about a core-less servo but evidently this one has a higher bit rate for more precision, and the core-less aspect is supposed to make it less power hungry. It's $20 more than the servo you had mentioned. giving it some thought.

This one is nice to, but starting to get a bit pricey for me !!

The first one comes with a glitch buster, so thats a good deal. The second one is not necessary for your build. 200oz of torque is more than adequate, and you dont need the speed to be any faster, thats more for 3d planes or helis..... DJ

I know its more servo than I need. I was thinking about the glitch prone servo you were talking about and thought the more expensive core less servo would be more efficient. Never thought to much torque would hurt me, but if it was to fast, I figured I could just dial in so exponential. Just my two cents that are only worth one cent tho lol!!

yeah inflation dont apply here....Back in my plane racing (Pylon scale) days we used those coreless programmable servos. These were big planes, 1/5th scale etc. I had one that I replaced a rudder servo with a high speed servo, not realizing this. I had one heck of a time controlling that plane, it was just too responsive. I did same in a rc offroad sct and again it was just responding too fast. I dont know if it would affect the handling on your tunnel or not or if its just me. Dont be overly concerned on the glitch issue, I've only had this happen on 2 occassions, both with castle motor esc combos on spektrum rcvr. So its more of a no need to spend alot of xtra $ on a servo, use it on something else in your build....DJ
