    Prather 40 setup help

Guys, looking for some suggestions for a new Prather 40 Mono (40" long) - I have a 1527 1Y with 6S packs (5500+5500) that runs great in my PT Hydro. Would like top speed in the 50s and run time - will be used for sport running and we'd like it to handle some chop. 10 minute runtime would be nice.

I was thinking of getting another 1527 1Y motor and if I need more power moving to 8S, but was also wondering if we should move up to a 1530. Planned on a SF 240.

Was also planning on a Speedmaster Stinger 60/90 size, 1/4 but open to suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

I doubt you'll get anywhere close to 10 min if you want to run in the 50's, even if you're slowing down a lot........

Hey thanks Kevin (btw love your track), maybe 10 was optimistic for the mono (I'm getting 10+ with my 40 hyrdo, small prop though).

The 1527 1y seems like a good choice. You might also consider the new extreme castle 2028 running 10s. I am using that in some big boats with very good results. It is a heavy motor, but lot's of power and at a good price point. I was running it in a 40" Seaducer using 10s and it had no problem. I am about to put one in a 48" mono and try it out there as well.
