After watching folks using turkey basters to squirt water through their boat's cooling system after a run, I figured that there ought to be a better way to do this. soo I put this together of an afternoon.
After run cooling system

I have a highly complex system similar to that
I use a soft drink bottle with a length of soft hose that goes into the water outlet on my big mono. I guessed that after 1.5L of water has trickled through that it is cool, and it is.
For a few of my other hulls that share and esc, I pull the esc and put it on a cold wet flannel, I think the Americans call it a face washer, that has been in the fridge up until I go to the pond.
It really cools the speedy and allows me to run it more than once in a session at the pond.
High tech stuff this. I can provide pics if needed.See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood -

$9.99 submersible pump for the small fountains and a small igloo water jug insultated with ice water. Drop in and hook output of pump to water intake and other silicone to bucket from exit. Plug it in.
A little more in depth but cools very fast. Pre cooling is another option for the motor with this method and ESC. Do not let it get too cold.Comment

The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.Comment

The main reason I can think to not let it get too cold is when heated back up it cause condensation to form inside motor can and or esc shrink. Thus causing things to hit shore and such...Comment
-
That is exactly why. Possible condensation. For motors it is fine but not for the ESC.Comment

A concept that I started working on a few years ago and put aside was a small onboard pump. The idea is to leave your boat in the water at the end of a run and let the water pump do it's thing and cool stuff down.Comment
